What do I get with a Recipe Letter subscription?
Every month, you receive a folding 4×6 recipe card on blue-lined cardstock — one food recipe paired with a cocktail (and mocktail variation). Each card has a tabbed top for filing in a recipe box, technique tips printed on the inside fold, and arrives sealed with a TRL wax stamp in a kraft envelope. 12 monthly pairings plus 4 seasonal bonus pairings — 16 total per year.
How much does a subscription cost?
A subscription to The Recipe Letter is $20 per month, which covers your monthly pairing, printing, and shipping within the United States.
How does shipping work?
We ship via USPS First-Class Mail to addresses within the United States. Your monthly pairing ships at the beginning of each month. Most orders arrive within 3–5 business days of shipping.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. You can cancel anytime from your account page — no commitments, no cancellation fees. Your subscription will remain active through the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer gift subscriptions?
Absolutely! You can purchase a 3, 6, or 12-month gift subscription. The recipient will receive a welcome email and their first wax-sealed card right away. Visit our Gift page to get started.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Our recipe cards are curated monthly and are not customizable per subscriber. However, many of our recipes can be adapted for common dietary needs, and the technique tips on the inside fold often include substitution ideas. We clearly list all ingredients on every card.
What kind of recipes do you feature?
Our recipes are rooted in fine dining techniques but designed for the home kitchen. Expect seasonal dishes, classic techniques, and creative cocktail pairings — all developed by CIA-trained Chef David Wiederholt. Your first pairing: Chicken Piccata + Limoncello Spritz.
What makes the recipe cards special?
Each card is a folding 4×6 printed on blue-lined cardstock — the kind you remember from your grandmother's recipe box. A tabbed top lets you file it like a card catalog. Technique tips and chef notes are printed on the inside fold, so everything you need is right on the card. Sealed with a wax stamp, held with a paperclip, and shipped in a kraft envelope. No screens, no apps — just beautiful cards you'll cook from and collect forever.
What are the seasonal bonus pairings?
Four times a year, you receive a surprise bonus pairing tied to the season — think Thanksgiving feasts, summer grilling, holiday cocktail parties, and spring brunch. These are special edition cards that arrive in addition to your regular monthly delivery.
How do I update my shipping address?
Log in to your account at therecipeletters.com/account and update your shipping address from your profile. Changes take effect on your next shipment.
